This lecture is relevant for any student in the KIT Department of Informatics, who intends to write Orientierungsprüfungen ("Orientation Exams"),
The event is dedicated to optimizing the exam period. It will not only provide subject-specific tips but also present proven methods and techniques that can contribute to a successful exam phase. The focus will be on effective learning strategies, time management during the exam period, and stress management techniques.
This part of the event can be attended both online and on site.
There will also be a learning partnership exchange on site.
Study Group: At the end there will be an opportunity to find a study partner for the exam phase and/or coming summer semester.
You can ask questions in English or German.

We want international students to get off to a good start in the KIT Department of Informatics and Mechanical Engineering . Therefore, to help you prepare for the coming semester there is a Pre-Arrival Online-Orientation.
This online-orientation will provide an overview vital information regarding studying in our department and at KIT.
We will discuss and answer your questions regarding studies, modules and what you shoud pay attention to prior to arrival. In addition, we will also share information about Karlsruhe, resources and for finding accommodations.

International Student Roundtable (ISRT) is for all international students enrolled in KIT Department of Informatics. This ISRT will address important information for international students who are at the start of their studies and help you to get off to a good start.
Vital information and tips to navigating your start at KIT will be discussed including:
∎ Organizing your studies effectively and Module selection
∎ CAS, ILIAS and Wiwi-Portal
∎ How to register for Tutorials
∎ University resources
∎ Life in Karlsruhe and KIT
∎ German language and cultural adjustment
∎ Learning Agreements (only for Exchange students)
There will be several points during the Workshop to ask questions as well as at the end to talk with the peers and ISS Adviser.

Now that you know your results from your first semester, this is an opportunity to focus on your second semester, planning, as well as additional subjects and elective modules and how to master them successfully.
Which lectures do I attend in the second semester? Together we will address your questions and give tips about which subject combinations make sense. Also we will go into detail about what you should bear in mind if you failed a subject in the previous semester.
